Spicy Chatpati Puries

Method

Step 1: Grind onion, ginger, garlic into a paste - I
Step 2: Grind raw mango, cumin seeds, chat masala powder, pomegranate powder, coriander leaves, mint leaves, garam masala powder and salt into a thick paste, adding a water from time to time - II
Step 3: Chop green chillies finely.
Step 4: Sieve the flour. Add curd and ground paste - I (onion, ginger, garlic) and oil. Mix them, add ground paste - II and knead well to make a dough. If necessary add little water to making dough)
Step 5: Cover for 1/2 hour with a damp cloth.
Step 6: Divide the dough into equal parts. Make balls flatten into a puris.
Step 7: Heat oil in a kadi, deep fry the puris.
Step 8: Serve with curd (onion and cucumber) mix.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 3 1/2 cups
  • Raw mango - 1 small (Peeled)
  • Mint leaves - 1 small bunch
  • Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  • Green chillies - 8 -10
  • Onion - 1 small
  • Ginger - 1 small piece
  • Garlic - 6 flakes
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Fresh curd - 1/4 cup
  • Chaat masala powder - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Pommegranate powder - 1 tbsp (If available)
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - for frying
  • Salt to taste
