Cabbage Toran Rice
Method
Step 1: Grind grated coconut, green chillies, garlic, ginger into a coarse paste, by adding little water from time to time.Step 2: Shredded cabbage into thinly.
Step 3: Wash the rice and soak in water for 20 minutes. Drain out all water and add fresh water 4 cups into the rice, and add green peas together, cook till done.
Step 4: Heat oil in a 'kadai', and add mustard seeds, when they are starts crackling add curry leaves and ground paste, fry for 2 or 3 minutes till thick and smells is good. Add shredded cabbage and stute and cook for a while.
Step 5: Now add cooked rice mixture, to the sauted cabbage mixture stir gently for 1 or 2 minutes and grain into the rice.
Step 6: Serve hot with the mint chutney.
