Cauliflower and Peas Pulao

Method

Step 1: Heat ghee in a heavy based pan, saute the spring onions and add all spices and stir fry for a minute. Add cauliflower and green peas and stir fry continuously again 2 - 3 minutes.
Step 2: Transfer to another pan and add stir the rice for one minute.
Step 3: Pour coconut milk and 4 cups of water and salt, lemon juice and stir and cover lid.
Step 4: Cook on a low heat till all the water has been absorbed, the rice is light and fluffy.
Step 5: Garnish with pepper powder and fried red chillies and serve hot.
Step 6: Cauliflower added in about the recipe for optional use. It you like other vegetable can be add and follow the same procedure.

Ingredients

  • Rice 1 3 cups
  • Green peas - 1 cup
  • Spring onion - 1 small bunch (Choopped)
  • Coconut milk - 1 cup
  • Cauliflower - 1 cup
  • Cashewnuts - 10
  • Lemon - 1
  • Cloves - 4
  • Cardamoms - 2
  • Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste.
