Channa Dal Coconut Sundal

Ingredients:

  • Channa dhal – 1 cup
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup
  • Red chillies(or green chillies) – 2 or 3
  • Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida – a pinch

    Method:

    Step 1: Soak channa dhal of the following in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.
    Step 2: Pressure cook the dhal till it become soft
    Step 3: Heat little oil, splutter mustard seeds and fry red chillies(or green chillies) and grated coconut for a minute.
    Step 4: Add this to the cooked dal and mix well along with salt and asafoetida
