Cheese and Spring Onion Rolls

Vegetarian spring rolls are crunchy and filling. The additon of cheese makes a melt-in-the mouth combination.

  • Preparation time: 20 minutes
  • Cooking time: 15 minutes
  • Method

    Step 1: Sift flour with salt, add cold water and make firm dough and knead for 5 minutes. Then wrap the dough in a wet cloth for 30 minutes.
    Step 2: Chop the spring onions and saute them gently in butter till soft. Add salt and pepper and cool.
    Step 3: Shape the prepared dough into round balls and roll them on a rolling board.
    Step 3: Fill the prepared spring onion mixture and grated cheese, fold them and paste the edges with egg white or thick maida paste.
    Step 4: Deep fry till golden brown and

    Ingredients

  • Plain flour or maida - 2 katoris
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Cold water - required amount
  • Spring onions - 1 bunch
  • Butter - 2 tbsp
  • Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Cheese grated - 6 tbsp
  • Egg - 1 (optional)
  • Oil - for frying
