Chola Puri

Method

Step 1: Sift salt, dalda, baking powder and flour, (maida & wheat) rub little water and knead into a dough with help of enough water. The dough should be very tight.
Step 2: Keep the dough for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Knead again and make a big size ball. Roll out into flattened round size (poori).
Step 4: Heat oil in a large kadai, fry till it turn has puffed up. Drain out when crisp (not too much).
Step 5: Serve hot with channa masala and onion, one green chilli, lemon pieces.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 2 cups
  • Maida - 1/2 cup
  • Vanaspathi (Dalda) - 100 gms
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil for deep - frying
