Cluster Beans Muddi Palya

Cluster beans is a favourite vegetable and can be served in the form of sambar, Rasam or this new dish.

  • Preparation time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking time: 30 minutes
  • Method

    Step 1: Cut the cluster beans into thin pieces. Cook in a kadai with seasoning like mustard, red chilli, turmeric powder and salt.
    Step 2: Add cooked Toovar daal, green chillies, grated coconut, coriander leaves and tamarind pulp.
    Step 3: Mix well till the daal and beans blend and form into a mass
    Step 4: Serve with plain rice and ghee.

    Ingredients

  • Cluster beans (chopped) - 2 katori
  • Toovar daal (cooked) - 2 tbsp
  • Green chillies - 6
  • Grated coconut - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind pulp - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
