Cocktail Aloo Curry

Method

Step 1: Peel potatoes and chop into squares. Deep fry in hot oil over a low flame till they are tender. Drain and keep them aside.
Step 2: Gram flour and curd blend it and keep aside.
Step 3: Heat oil in a pan add cloves, fenugreek seeds as soon as they splutter, pour the liquid from the blender and ground mixture, asafoetida along with 1 cup of water.
Step 4: Add salt, dhania powder, turmeric powder. Let it boil for 2 - 3 minutes until the gravy thickens slightly.
Step 5: Drop in fried potatoes and cook on a low flame for a few minutes.
Step 6: Garnish with garam masala powder and coriander leaves.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes - 5
  • Curds - 1 cup
  • Dhania powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida - little
  • Cloves - 4
  • Gram flower - 2 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander leaves - littler (chop finely)
  • Grind together

  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Ginger - 1 small piece
