Corn Kurma

Method

Step 1: Boil whole corn in a pressure cooker, allow to cool and remove the seeds.
Step 2: Blanch tomatoes in hot water peel the skin and make into a paste.
Step 3: Heat oil in a pan, season with bay leaves add the onions and fry till brown. Add ground mixture and stir.
Step 4: Add tomato puree fry well in a low flame.
Step 5: Add corn and creamed corn mix together with salt and boil for few minutes.
Step 6: Remove from fire and garnish with coriander leaves serve hot.

Ingredients

  • Corn - 6 cobs
  • Creamed corn - 200 ml
  • Onions - 2 (cut into thin pieces)
  • Tomatoes - 4 medium
  • Bay leaf - 2
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Grind together

  • Fresh coconut - 1/2 cup (Grated)
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Dhania - 1 tsp
  • Green chillies - 4
  • Cinnamon stick - 1 small piece
  • Cloves - 2
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
