Devils Cake

Method

Step 1: Sift flour with soda, baking powder and salt for 3 times.
Step 2: Beat butter, sugar and egg yolks.
Step 3: Add curd and flour to that.
Step 4: Keep beating till creamy.
Step 5: Add essence, cocoa. Colour and finally stiffly beaten egg whites and gently fold in the dough till mixed.
Step 6: Bake in a hot oven for 35 to 40 minutes or till baked.

Ingredients

  • Butter - 1 cup
  • Brown sugar (or) jaggery - 100 gms
  • Maida - 1
