French Rice

Method

Step 1: Wash the rice and soak in water for 20 minutes. Add 3 1/2 cups of water and cook till half and keep aside.
Step 2: Dice all the vegetables and chop tomatoes, onions finely.
Step 3: Heat butter in a frying pan, add onions and fry till soft. Add diced vegetables and stir fry for few minutes.
Step 4: Take baking dish, grease it with butter and put half cooked rice and fried vegetables in it.
Step 5: Pour little water and salt, pepper powder, green chillies.
Step 6: Bake in a moderate oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Serve hot with chinese sauce or tomato sauce.

  • Capsicums - 2
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Green chillies - 2 (Sliced)
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Butter - 50 gms
  • Salt to taste
