Fresh Coriander Rice

Method

Step 1: Wash the rice and soak in water for 20 minutes. Add 3 1/2 cups of fresh water and cook till done.
Step 2: Heat, oil in a 'tawa' seasoning with mustard, black gram, bengal gram, fry till golden colour.
Step 3: Add ground past - stir, fry for a minute and add salt to taste.
Step 4: Mix to the cooked rice and stir gently, serve at lunch or dinner with potato chips.

Ingredients

  • Rice - 2 cups
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Back gram - 1 tbsp
  • Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Grind together

  • Grated coconut - 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Ginger - 1 small piece
  • Turmeric powder - A pinch
  • Tamarind extract - 2 tsp
