Gram Flour in Curd Gravy

Method

Step 1: Make a medium consistency batter of gram flower, asafoetida, baking soda, salt, red chilli powder with water and beat well.
Step 2: Heat a non stick tawa, make small round discs of 1 tbsp of gram flour, bake on both sides.
Step 3: Heat 1 tbsp oil, put cumin seeds, green chillies and all the masalas, cook for some time.
Step 4: Add curds and cook on high - heat till well mixed. Put the discs into the curds along with 1 cup of water.
Step 5: Cook on low - heat for 2 - 3 minutes. Keep the dish covered for 5 minutes after removing from the fire.
Step 6: Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with dinner.

  • Gram flour - 1 cup
  • Chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Baking soda - little
  • For gravy
  • Curds - 1 cup
  • Green chillies - 3 (chop finely)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
