Hayagreeva
A soft and well blended daal with jaggery, perfect for those with a sweet tooth.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Serves: 6
Step 2: Finally add 4 tbsp of ghee and keep on stirring till it leaves the edges.
Step 3: Serve warm.
Soaked bengal gram daal - 2 katoris
Jaggery (powdered) - 3 katoris
Cardamom - 1 tbsp
Kesar - 1 tsp or few strands,
Pure camphor essence - for flavour (pacha karpura)
Ghee - 4 tbsp
Method
Step 1: soak bengal gram daal for 1 hour. Cook on a slow fire, till tender. (not too soft). Add powdered jaggery, cardamom, Kesar, and pacha karpura and keep stirring till jaggery melts.Step 2: Finally add 4 tbsp of ghee and keep on stirring till it leaves the edges.
Step 3: Serve warm.
