Instant Masala Idli

Method

Step 1: Chop tomatoes and green chillies finely.
Step 2: Mix semolina (suji), curd and salt, nicely. Add 1/2 cup water. Keep for 10 - 15 minutes. (Dry roast semolina till light fade colour, before soaking).
Step 3: Heat oil, put in mustard seeds and Bengal gram, fry for a minute. Add green chillies, red chillies, peanuts, cashewnuts, green peas, salt and coriander leaves and fry for while.
Step 4: Remove from fire and pour the soaked batter. Stir well. Now add fruit mixture and mix again.
Step 5: Pour mixture in greased idli moulds andsteam for 10 - 15 minutes.
Step 6: Serve hot with sauce and green chutney.

Ingredients

  • Semolina (Suji) - 2 cups
  • Sour curd - 1/2 cup
  • Peanuts - 2 tbsp
  • Green peas - 2 tbsp
  • Tomato - 1/2
  • Red chillies - 2 (Broken)
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
  • Eno fruit salt - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Cashewnuts - 2 tbsp (Broken)
