Kanchipuram Uttappam

Method

Step 1: Heat 1 and 1/2 tbsp, oil in a pan. Add cashewnuts, black pepper, cumin seeds and turmeric powder.
Step 2: Fry till the smell of turmeric powder disappears. Add salt to taste and mix well.
Step 3: Add to the uttappam batter and mix well.
Step 4: Heat a non - stick tawa or a dosa plate, put a little oil over it and spread well.
Step 5: Pour about I steel ladleful dosa batter and spread evenly, cook till done on both sides.
Step 6: Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.

  • Dosa batter - 600 ml
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
