Methi Stew

Method

Step 1: Clean and chop methi leaves.
Step 2: Cut tomatoes and onions finely.
Step 3: Chop garlic, green chillies into a fine pieces.
Step 4: Cut the vegetables finely, add green peas and steam it.
Step 5: Heat oil, season with cumin seeds, garlic, green chillies, onions and fry till brown.
Step 6: Add chopped tomatoes and turmeric powder, salt and fry till pulp.
Step 7: Finely add steamed vegetables and methi leaves cook on low flames till the gravy becomes thick.
Step 8: Add half cup of water if necessary.
Step 9: Serve hot with parathas.

Ingredients

  • Fenugreek leaves - 3 small bunches (Methi)
  • Onions - 3 big
  • Tomatoes - 2 small
  • Carrot - 1
  • Potato - 1
  • Green peas - 1/2 cup
  • Green chillies - 3
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil for deep - frying
  • Salt to taste
