Mint Masala Puri

Method

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients of poori (except deep - frying). Rub well. Add water, knead into a hard dough. Keep aside cover it with a wet cloth for 15 minutes.
Step 2: Now divide thepoori dough into portions and shape into balls.
Step 3: Press each ball between palms and roll out into flattened rounds (Poori).
Step 4: Fry in oil in a deep frying - pan.
Step 5: Turn when it has puffed up. Drain out when crisp (not too much).
Step 6: Serve hot with potato masala and one lemon piece, onion rings.

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 1 and 1/2 cup
  • Bengal gram flour - 1 cup
  • Fresh mint leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste - tsp
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Oil for deep - frying
  • Salt to taste
