Pakistani Aloo Subzi – Pakistani Potato Vegetable

Method

Step 1: Boil potatoes until tender.
Step 2: Peel and crush potatoes with a fork.
Step 3: Chop onion and brown in oil.
Step 4: Add potatoes, spices and 1/2 c. water and stir well.
Step 5: Lower heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/3 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2/3 ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • salt to tasteOptional
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 whole cardamom
  • 1 whole bay leaf
