Plain Cake

Method

Step 1: Sieve maida with salt, baking powder and soda thrice.
Step 2: Separate egg yolks from whites carefully.
Step 3: Cream butter and powdered sugar till it is light and fluffy.
Step 4: Add yolks to that and beat.
Step 5: Now add essence, milk and sieved flour little by little and mix gently with wooden ladle.
Step 6: Pour beaten egg whites finally and fold well into the mixture.
Step 7: Add Tutty Fruity bits, cherries and raisins.
Step 8: Mix well and bake in a moderate oven till brown on top.
