Raw Banana Muddi Palya with Kadi
Raw bananas are usually made into chips. But that is not all. Try this simple dish which uses the raw banana and a little coconut.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Step 2: Full oil and seasoning like mustard and red chillies and add the cubed raw banana. Sprinkle little water and salt, turmeric powder and cover with a lid.
Step 3: When cooked, add the prepared paste and keep on frying till it leaves the edges.
Step 4: Serve with rice and kadi.

Raw banana (cubed) - 2 katoris
Coconut - 1 katori
Green chillies - 8 nos
Rinsed bengal gram - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil - for seasoning.
Bengal gram daal (soaked) - 2 tbsp
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Green chillies - 6 to 7
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Ginger - 1 piece
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Curd - 2 cups
Method
Step 1: Cut raw banana into thin pieces. Grind all the other ingredients into fine paste. Take a thick bottomed kadai and pour 2 tbsp.Step 2: Full oil and seasoning like mustard and red chillies and add the cubed raw banana. Sprinkle little water and salt, turmeric powder and cover with a lid.
Step 3: When cooked, add the prepared paste and keep on frying till it leaves the edges.
Step 4: Serve with rice and kadi.
Method for Kadi
Step 1: Soak daal for half an hour. Grind all the other ingredients into a fine paste.Step 2: Mix them with curd and salt and boil till it thickens.
Step 3: Season with mustard seeds and curry leaves.
