Red Appam
The curd turns these dosas into a golden red colour. Little children love it and it can be made in minutes.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4
Step 2: Heat a non-stick tava and pour a spoonful of this mixture (5 to 6 at a time). Pour a spoonful of oil and let cook till it turns red and crisp at the edges.
Step 3: Turn upside down and cook the other side also.
Step 4: Serve with ghee or tomato ketchup.
Fresh dosa batter - 4 katoris
Fresh curds - 1 katori
Onion (chopped) - 1 katori
Ginger - 1 tbsp
Green chillies - 4 to 5
Curry leaves - a few
Coriander leave - 2 tbsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt to taste
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Oil for cooking
Method
Step 1: Mix batter and curds, salt and sugar. Chop the onions, grated coconut, asafoetida green chillies, ginger coriander and curry leaves. (mix all the ingredients little by little or required quantity to the above mixture)Step 2: Heat a non-stick tava and pour a spoonful of this mixture (5 to 6 at a time).
