Rice Bran Khichadi

Rice Bran is actually Raw rice splitted rawa (Unpaliced)

Method

Step 1: Heat ghee in a two litre pressure cooker. Mastard seeds, cashewnuts fry for minute and continuously saute the rice bran and green gram with the curry leaves.
Step 2: Add the water, salt, pepper powder, cumin powder. Mix the contents well and pressure cook till done. Stir it.
Step 3: Serve hot, preferably with chutney.

Ingredients

  • Rice bran - 1 cup
  • Green gram (Splitted) 1/2 cup
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cashewnuts - 2 tsp
  • Mustard sees - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 1 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
