Savoury Egg Paniaram

Method

Step 1: Peel onions and cut finely.
Step 2: Beat four eggs and two yolks together.
Step 3: Beat separately another two eggs whites till stiff.
Step 4: Soak Bengal gram dhal half an hour before in little water.
Step 5: Drain the water and add to the beaten egg mixture.
Step 6: Mix onions green chilli paste (or) Red chillie powder with salt, garam masala, cumin, pepper powder and milk.
Step 7: Now fold the egg whites carefully with the mixture.
Step 8: Meanwhile heat the paniyaram pan with one or 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of oil in each cup.
Step 9: When it is ready pour the egg mixture in all the cups using a shallow ladle.
Step 10: When the egg sets, carefully turnover with a spoon.
Step 11: Add little more ghee to the sides.
Step 12: When the egg is cooked completely, remove from fire andserve with chutney or ketchup.

Ingredients

  • Eggs - 6
  • Small onions - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 tsp
  • Green chilli paste - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Cumin and pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Soaked Bengal gram dhal - 1 tbsp
  • Ghee and oil - 4 Tb.sps
