Stuffed Paneer

This rich and colourful masala poured over golden stuffed paneer and served with pooris will be a big hit at any party.

  • Method

    Step 1: Cut paneer into slices. (as thin as bread slices). Keep 25 g paneer separate for filling.
    Step 2: Powder the cashew and chopped chillies, coriander leaves fine. Mix 25 g paneer with the above mixture and salt and keep aside.
    Step 3: Make sandwiches with paneer slices and the above filling and press tight. Fry the prepared sandwiches in a non - stick pan with little oil till golden brown.
    Step 4: Now, boil the tomato and onion till tender and blend in a blender. Take a kadai and heat little oil and pour the prepared solution and ginger paste and fry till oil separates.
    Step 5: Then add chilli powder, dhania powder, salt sugar and boil till it forms into a thick gravy.
    Step 6: Add milk, lime juice and tomato paste and fry for a few seconds. Now arrange the paneer sandwich in a broad and flat bottomed dish and pour the hot gravy on the top.
    Step 7: Spread coriander leaves and grated cheese.
    Step 8: Serve hot with pooris or rotis. Curry leaves can be added for flavour.

    Ingredients

  • Paneer (sliced) - 12 slices
  • Paneer (powdered) - 2 tbsp
  • Cashew nut - 2 tbsp
  • Chillies - 4 to 5
  • Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • For Gravy

  • Onion - 2 large
  • Tomato - 2 large
  • Ginger - 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Dhania powder - 1 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 katori lime - 1
  • Tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cheese - 2 tbsp grated.
