Tomato Cheese Gravy

Method

Step 1: Cut tomatoes into halves.
Step 2: Heat oil in a pan, add ground paste : II (onion paste), fry for a while brown. Add ground paste : I, salt and fry well.
Step 3: Add whipped curds and chilli powder stir fry till oil comes out from the masala. Add cup of water and cook for 10 - 15 minutes. Add grated cheese and remove from fire.
Step 4: Arrange tomatoes halves in a baking dish.
Step 5: Pour the gravy on it, spread with butter and bake in a preheated oven for 1/2 an hour. Serve hot.

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 1/2 kg
  • Fresh whipped curds - 1 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Dhania powder - 2 tsp
  • Processed cheese - 200 gms (Grated)
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste.
  • Grind into a paste - I

  • Cashewnuts - 8
  • Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Grind into a paste - II

  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger - small piece
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
