Channa Dal Masala Sundal

Ingredients:

  • Channa dal – 1 cup
  • Tomato – 1
  • Tamrind juice – 1 spoon
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ spoon
  • Salt
  • Garam masala powder – 1 spoon
  • Oil – 2 spoond
  • Mustard – 1 spoon
  • Cumin – 1 spoon
  • Curry leaves

    Method:

    Step 1: Soak channa dal overnight.
    Step 2: Add salt,turmeric powder and cook fully in a pressure cooker.
    Step 3: Boil 1 medium tomato and mash.
    Step 4: In a pan, add 1/2 cup water, mashed tomato,a little bit of tamarind juice, and heat.
    Step 5: Fry 1 tsp of mustard and 1 spoon of cumin in oil and add it to the mix.
    Step 6: Add the boiled dal and stir for about 1 min.
    Step 7: Add garam masala powder.
    Step 8: Add fresh coriander leaves.
